Cotton, late 19th or early 20th c., Southern US, with repeating large white squares with appliqued "double tulip" pattern comprising a quatrefoil red and orange tulip motif in center of each square, green and blue sashing, white backing and binding, with some of the quilting in blue thread and some in white.
From the Collection of Archie Carter III and Michael Joyce, Greensboro, North Carolina Discoloration and staining, holes with old repairs, otherwise good estate condition.
