The first circa 1940s, attributed Guilford County, NC, of purple, pink, and orange satin in a zigzag design, with pink cotton backing and satin edging, hand-quilted in multicolor thread (5 ft. 11 in. x 6 ft. 9 in.) (staining, discoloration); the second child-size, log-cabin design in assorted patterned wool, velvet, cotton, etc. arranged in light and dark configuration, with printed cotton back and binding, "batting" is likely an even older quilt (4 ft. 2 in. x 5 ft. 5 in.) (staining, holes, discoloration).
