English Chippendale Inlaid Mahogany Chest on Chest with Fretwork

Circa 1800, mahogany veneer, light and dark wood inlays, oak and pine secondary, two part form, cove molded and dentil trimmed cornice, the front with fretwork frieze, the whole with two over six graduated cock beaded drawers, the upper case with canted and fluted corners, applied waist molding, shaped bracket foot base.

74.25 x 43 x 21 in.

A good size and well appointed with a fretwork frieze and banded inlay to the drawers.

Some denting to the cornice; possible later 1/2 inch base edge to upper case to left/right sides; marring to left side of case; some veneer patches to the drawer stiles; some foot facing patches; cock beading repair; upper left drawer with repair to lower right corner.
