Wool, Turkey, the salmon red field with center poled medallion and star and trident motifs, with blue spandrels featuring star and cross motifs, within multiple borders with floral, foliate, and reciprocal motifs, with several barber-pole minor borders, the flat weave ends with raised wool rosettes, braided fringe, with leather DOBAG Project tag identifying Manisa Yuntdag as the village where the rug was made.

Founded in 1981, the DOBAG Project (Doğal Boya Araştırma ve Geliştirme Projesi) was begun as an initiative to revive traditional Turkish weaving traditions, creating rugs with only natural dyes, and to provide a fair wage and income to village women.
