The first a saddlebag with a thick pile face with a central red medallion on a midnight blue field with latch-hook and star motifs, within a wave and rosette border, the top edge in decorative flat-weave with slits for strapping, the back in stripes of beautiful decorative weft-wrapping flat-weave technique in earth tones, bound with goat-hair (22 x 21 in.) (wear and loss to corners and top edge, top edge to backing cut off, some small areas of pile loss and minor repairs to face); the second a 6-sided pile saddle cover with stripes of brown and pale blue, with red and cream highlights, the flat weave edges hemmed under (20 x 23.5 in.) (dye run, wear and fraying to edges, area with loss to pile.)
