Philip Arthur Fisher (1907-2004) was a San Francisco-based investing specialist and owner of the money management company Fisher & Co.
Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits was his first book and it brought him considerable attention for offering a clear manual with an "unorthodox approach" (foreword), and for his discussion of the "scuttlebutt" method that is still used today.
Boards with edgewear and slight separation from text block; pages very lightly toned with (2) small pencil marks and (2) leaves with tiny foxing spot, otherwise extremely clean and unmarked; small bookseller sticker on rear paste-down; jacket scuffed with toning and edgewear, including small chips, losses, and tears, and (2) 1/2- to 1-in. tears, in removable protective mylar jacket; easily very good in good, unclipped dust jacket.
