Lot Details & Additional Photographs
The diminutive 1860s/70s book-form album is an oblong 2 x 3-3/8 in. and contains forty-one gem tintypes, each roughly 1-1/2 in. square, subjects include men, women and children (the spine needs re-gluing; wear to the boards); the Art Deco box (2-1/4 x 8-3/4 x 3-1/2 in.) sits on four triangular feet and has a curved sliding lid, all visible surfaces are decorated with geometric inlays, the three interior compartments likely held playing cards or cigarettes (some minor losses to lid's inlays).

8 x 9 x 3 in.
