England, 1840s, a compote and (12) plates, hand-painted floral clusters on an apple green and gilt embellished rim, undersides marked with the Royal Coat of Arms mark of John Ridgway and marked with pattern # 5257.

Compote 7 1/2 x 11 1/4 in.; Plate each 8 3/4 in.

Good condition considering age; slight gilt losses and scattered small scratches.
