From the Collection of Professor Roberto Severino, Washington, D.C. Andrea Navagero (1483-1529) was a Renaissance poet and humanist. He worked for a time with Aldine Press, and he served as historian of the Venetian Republic. Navagero's portrait was painted by Raphael, indicating his notability during his lifetime.
Vellum with edgewear including losses at bottom edge, several wormholes, title on spine extremely faded; writing and bookstore sticker on title page, scattered foxing, paste-downs with ink marks and wormholes/trails, occasional small stain, one tiny wormhole impacting numerous leaves, missing front free endpaper.
