Narrative was first published in 1850, and revised in 1875 by Sojourner Truth's secretary, the suffragist and abolitionist Frances W. Titus. The second part of this edition includes the first edition of "The Book of Life."
Boards with very light stains and small marks, rubbed and bumped corners, light edgewear, and backstrip pealing significantly from spine and with small losses; backstrip fragile but overall the volume is sturdy; interior with light scattered foxing mostly at endpapers, small areas of staining throughout, light toning, occasional small tear, grime, and pencil marks; several leaves with slight separation but still attached; an about good copy of this important and scarce edition.
