19th century, both have collars with inner ledges, applied strap handles, the shorter jar is stamped "NB 1" Nelson Bass (Henry, NC, 1846-1918), and has a dark glaze with quartz throughout (9 1/2 in.) (good condition; one quartz pop); the second jar has a green variegated glaze and is marked "2X", not signed (13 1/4 in.) (several small collar scrapes).
