Both marked as two gallon capacity, alkaline glaze, the first is simplistic in style and is attributed to Luther Seth Ritchie (1867-1940); the second is decorated with multiple incised lines at the shoulder and tooled at the neck, marked "2", attributed to Thomas Ritchie (Lincoln County, NC, 1825-1909) (roughness at the base where glaze runs broke from the body).
