France, late 19th century, (86) pieces with black Greek key pattern on gilt and filigree, to include: (10) luncheon plates (9 3/4 in.); (6) salad plates (8 1/2 in.); (6) rim soup bowls (9 1/4 in.); (8) bread & butter plates (6 1/4 in.); (10) fruit/dessert bowls (5 1/4 in.); (10) teacups and (10) bouillon cups with (19) saucers; a pair of oval vegetable bowls (10 3/8 in.); a covered oval vegetable (5 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 7 in.); a round covered vegetable (4 1/4 x 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.); a sauce boat with underplate (6 x 9 x 5 in.); and a second underplate (10 in.). Cups marked "D & C France," the rest marked "D & C France" and "L. Bernardaud & Co. / Limoges"; some with retailer mark of Higgins & Seiter in New York.
From the Collection of Wayne Morrison, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Good estate condition; general wear to gilt from use, especially at rims, with occasional small chip to foot; luncheon plates with gilt rubbed from wells; one bread & butter plate with small glaze imperfection under rim; one fruit/dessert bowl with chipping at rim and one with a hairline and a small chip with associated discoloration; one teacup and one bouillon cup with a hairline, and cups with occasional fleabite to rim.
