Worked in wool and silk on loose linen weave with upper register featuring three rows of upper and lower case letters and numerals above a decorative cartouche stitched with maker's name, location and date Elizabeth Seymour / worked this at Freder / icksburg in the year of / our Lord 1819, bottom register centered with an oversized bird sitting in a fruit tree on a stepped lawn with a dog and floral design motifs, all enclosed within a vine and berry border, presented under glass in a paint decorated frame.
