Mid-19th century, tea caddy form, dark painted exterior hand-painted bird nest, floral sprays, and geometric linear motifs, the blue wash interior, lid featuring an inset framed ambrotype of a gentleman, flanked by bold yellow and red scrolling motifs against a gray field.
