Pair of George III Carved Mahogany Armchairs

Late 18th century, shaped crest rail, pierced back splat with relief carved gadrooned border, molded shaped stile, molded shoe, shaped arms with acanthus leaf carved knuckle, shaped arm support, flush molded seat rail, slip seat, straight molded leg with inside chamfer, flush stretcher base.

Both chairs with later needlepoint seats and old but likely later arm supports; the first chair: all four feet tipped one inch, right arm support break/cut/patch at rail joint; the second chair: right rear foot with four inch splice.
