With a very special Vauxhall 2.2 liter QED (Quick Engineering Design) alloy engine. The (2.4 liter) engine has been recently refreshed (by Steve Ellis, Artistry in Engineering Waverly, Virginia), due to piston blow by caused by over-bored liners that flexed under combustion. New liners were installed that reduced the bore to from 2.4 to 2.2 liters. Additional work performed to ensure longevity included new pistons, modified block, head work, matched ports, new headers optimized for this package, and an Raceco titanium silencer. An Emerald ECU was tuned on a dyno to make a very trackable engine that produced 246hp @ 7000rpm and 200 lb/ft @ 5500 rpm, yet still produces 155 lb/ft @ 3000 rpm. It was carefully assembled to compensate for reduced capacity, and ensure long life. It is mated to a BGH E7 5-speed gearbox, and a limited slip differential. A very special Freestyle inboard front suspension is installed with modified brackets to put all fasteners in double sheer for strength and safety. Ap Racing front calipers, 13" wheels with Avon tires, Spa technique tach and speedometer, FIA roll bar, Ballistic EVO2 lithium battery, and detachable MOMO steering wheel round out the performance pieces.

With carbon fiber nose, front and rear wings, dash board, and racing seats with five point harness add to the lightness of the car. The fiberglass body finished in a British Racing Green paint. Numerous coverings available including full tonneau, half tonneau, and full convertible top, with side screens, and half doors.

From the Estate and Collection of a Gentleman Taylorsville, North Carolina.

A 1999 Super Llight chassis that was completed by GT Classics in Barboursville, VA in 2004. It was campaigned in tours completing USA 2005, PNW 2007, 777 (Tail of the Dragon, NC), and Monterey-Seattle 2010 & 2012.

This car is a meticulously engineered and built machine, designed with a focus on high-performance driving, particularly on a track. The combination of a custom-built and tuned engine, specialized suspension, high-performance components, and a lightweight construction distinguishes it as a very special vehicle. Although the speedometer is not tracking mileage, based on tours the car has approximately 10,000 miles, with only 2000 estimated miles since engine rebuild. Documentation, and manuals are included.

The following condition report, while thorough, is not exhaustive as vintage cars have inherent wear and imperfections. We welcome personal inspections, please contact mt@lelandlittle.com to schedule. Public previews are available the second Saturday each month from 9am-12pm.

Some rock chips to lower tub; small bump on the bonnett; no other apparent concerns.
