Dorothy Canfield describes
Out of Africa as "a book of classic imperturbable simplicity" (rear flap). This book was the basis for the well-known, Academy Award-winning film of the same name from 1985 starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.
Boards with light spotting along upper edges, minor wear at spine ends and one corner, and slight separation from text block at head; interior with mild toning, a few foxing spots, and offsetting from the title page; one page with a minor mark, a few with minor spots of grime at the edges, and one leaf with a corner loss not impacting text; unclipped jacket ($2.75) with toning, minor edge wear and creasing, a couple of foxing spots, light rubbing to interior, and one slight area of imperfection at the spine; in removable protective mylar jacket; a very good plus copy in a near fine dj. A truly fine example and rare to find in this condition.
