Lauriat Co. Boston on front free endpaper verso. With title page printed in red and black, (12) full-page color plates, including a frontispiece with tissue guard, and additional b&w illustrations. (Boards with light scuffing and staining, corners lightly rubbed, and upper board slightly bowed; joints rubbed with short splits at rear and heavier cracking at the front; chips to spine and small loss at head; cracking at hinges; occasional foxing and spotting to interior and a minor edge stain, otherwise a clean interior. About very good.)

Bound by Bayntun in half-calf over light brown cloth, gilt-decorated spine with gilt-compartments, morocco labels, and raised bands, marble endpapers, and top edge gilt; stamped by binder on first front free endpaper versos. 8vo; [2], vii, [1], [1]-288pp.; [2], vi, [2], [1]-364pp. Each with frontispiece with tissue guard and full-page b&w plates with illustrations by Cruickshank, Leech, and others. (Boards with light edge wear, corners rubbed, and minor discoloration and stains; spines with wear at head, joints rubbed and cracked with lower board of third series slightly loose; interiors generally very clean with light hinge cracking, occasional light toning, foxing, and grime; the Second Series with a pin hole in one leaf, a small repair to several plates, the half-title, and the title page, frontispiece extended, and tissue guard with minor separation at tail; Third Series with a few leaves with very small corner damp stains. Overall good to very good condition.)
