Circa 1835, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, the sitter attired in black overcoat and waistcoat, with black tied stock and white collar, against a sky ground, presented behind glass in a gilt pendant case, with ornately decorated quartered hair reserve, featuring an oval ivory panel festooned with various flags, halberds, helmet and drum, with seed pearl monogram.
