Private Collection, South Carolina The electronic tuning fork movement, first designed by Swiss engineer and inventor Max Hetzel in the 1950s for Bulova, took off in the 1960s. By the 1970s, Swiss movement manufacturer ESA had licensed the tuning fork movement, expanding its popularity. This Omega f300 Constellation uses the Omega caliber 1260, based on the ESA caliber 9164, and is likely the last model made by Omega using the electronic tuning fork movement.
