SMITH & SONS present on both lock plates, double triggers, matching high profile decorative hammers, engraved trigger guard and screws, well figured and checkered walnut stock and forend, black lined factory buttplate.

Charles Smith and Sons was established in the 19th century and became renowned for its craftsmanship and attention to detail. They were particularly recognized for making fine, hand-engraved shotguns, often custom-made for clients. Over time, they became one of the respected names in the world of fine firearms. However, the company ceased to exist by the mid-20th century, with its legacy living on in the shotguns they produced.
Over all estate condition very good, action and trigger guard present mild to moderate tarnishing with scattered light pitting, barrel bluing in good condition with scattered light scratching. Barrel rings with church bell clarity.
