France, second half 18th century, 7 in. enamel painted dial signed "Tevenot /A VERSAILLES", period brass movement is unsigned with silk suspension pendulum and countwheel striking on a bell, set within an architectural cartouche case in fire gilt bronze with laurel garland and acanthus decoration, urn surmounting. Includes pendulum and key.
