Joseph C. Randall was a lock maker whose name appears on the lock plates of certain 19th-century American long rifles. His locks are typically marked with "JOSEPH C. RANDALL WARRANTED," indicating a guarantee of their quality. The exact location of his operations remains unconfirmed, as some sources list him as "unlocated." Randall's locks were utilized by various gunsmiths, indicating his role as a supplier of quality lock mechanisms during that period.

Overall good estate condition, lock action does not work correctly, ferrous metals have oxidation and age patinas, stock has moderate use field marks from age and use, missing decorative inlay over cheek rest.
