Last quarter 19th century, the patinated bronze bust signed and dated "Colombo /1885", with 'Bronze Garanti au Titre Paris' foundry pastille on the opposite shoulder, the obverse plinth with engraved and gilt plaque beneath a Napoleonic eagle; the clock base in polished rouge marble with ormolu mounts, round dial signed "Thiebaut Freres / PARIS 32 Avenue de l'Opera / Lance Balancier", having brass Samuel Marti suspension spring movement, stamped "S. Marti et Cie Medaille de Bronze" and numbered "312", raised on four cast ormolu four feet, includes pendulum.
Bust 22 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 12 in.; clock 8 x 14 x 12 1/2 in.
