Neoclassical Style Parcel Gilt Cup and Saucer, Cyrus

19th century, unmarked, blue with Persian style trefoil and niche motif borders with gilt decoration, featuring a Hellenized profile portrait of Cyrus the Great (600- 530 BC), who founded the Achaemenid Dynasty; with gilt interior and scrolled handle.

Cup 4 1/8 in.; saucer 5 in.
