Robert H. Kellogg, Sergeant-Major of the 16th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, wrote this book from the journals he kept while he and most of his regiment were in Confederate prisons. He specifically describes the horrors he witnessed during his year in Andersonville Prison in Georgia.
Some rubbing to cloth with gilt still quite bright, and two corners lightly bumped; spine with slight discoloration, ends lightly rubbed, with small areas of repair at head impacting the beginning of the title; interior with occasional grime, light foxing and toning (heaviest at plates), one plate with a small tear, and the last few leaves with small stains and areas of subtle repair, overall clean and crisp; in a removable protective mylar jacket; very good.
