Late 18th century, carved wood (possibly limewood), featuring two figures of a presumed couple in profile, and mounted onto dark exotic wood tondo backing, presented in a period parcel gilt lacquer frames under convex glass, the reverse retaining later 19th century label for "H J Hatfield Miniatures Painted Cleaned Repaired and Framed 86 Charlotte Street Fitzroy Square London".
