19th century, brass works case with large round enamel painted dial signed
Popelin a' Charlieux, dual weight driven movement striking on a large upper bell, repousse brass pendulum marked "Depose" in the form of a lyre with sun god mask, the case mounted with later brackets for wall hanging, includes two weights and winding key.
Works case 18 x 11 x 6 in.; pendulum 44 in.
The Estate of the late Dr. William "Bill" Webb Johnston and Mr. Charles "Chuck" Raymond West, Hillsborough, NC Some surface marks and denting to case and pendulum; hour hand with repair.
