Stephen Gan, Cecilia Dean, et al, ed. VISIONAIRE 28 BIBLE. New York: Visionaire, 1999. Limited edition; no. 2327 of 6000 numbered copies. White blind-stamped and patterned boards, with all edges gilt, in molded plastic packaging known as an "energy sphere" and specially designed by industrial designer and architect Philippe Starck (French, b. 1949). With bible verses reimagined by artists, designers, architects, and other creative individuals such as Karl Lagerfeld, Frank Gehry, David LaChapelle, and Nan Goldin.

DOA 15 7/8 x 11 1/2 in.; book 11 3/4 x 8 1/4 in.

Visionaire describes this as: "our millennium issue: 'the greatest story ever told' retold in images by modern-day artists and photographers. The intent was to make an issue that was visually provocative but not blasphemous or gratuitously shocking." Boards with small sticker with limited edition number on lower board, very light scuffing, and typical indents from packaging; boards and text block boards with edge wear; interior with occasional light scuffing; typical scuffing to plastic case with a few small areas with signs of stress to plastic, and one missing tenon.
