Edward A. Pollard (Virginia, 1832-1872) was editor of the Richmond Examiner and a staunch supporter of the Confederacy. He wrote numerous books about the Civil War both during the war and in the years immediately following the conflict. The Lost Cause is his most famous book.

A sturdy volume with minor areas of rubbing and marks to cloth, toning at edges and spine, and light wear to spine ends; interior with toning, foxing, and expected offsetting and mild handling wear. Very good.
