Italian Renaissance Style Figural Bronze Torch Sconce / Knocker, Style of Niccolò di Noferi del Sodo ("Il Capara")

20th century, patinated bronze, inspired by the torch mounts "Il Capara" made for the exterior of the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence circa 1500, cast as a fantastical beast with spread winged dragon body, paw feet and classical maiden head spouting a singular nozzle, the terraced bracket with second nozzle and large ring knocker, unsigned.
