Circa 1800, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, depicting a gentleman and lady rendered by the same hand in fine period attire against a sky blue ground, each presented behind glass in ebonized wood frames, with gilt oval bezel and cast fruiting hanger.

Miniature 3 x 2 1/2 in.; frame 6 x 4 1/4 in. (including ring mount)

From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C.

Restoration to frames and replaced interior backings; gentleman wafer mounted to later card.
