Circa 1810, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, both rendered against a clear sky blue ground, presented behind glass in gilt oval pendant cases; the first of a young lady with curled hair and blue eyes, attired in an ivory gown, the interior backing ink inscribed "E. Kean" with "ELIZA KEAN / WIFE OF / G.M. ROBERT" (miniature 2 3/4 in.; frame 3 3/4 in.); the second of a dark haired gentleman attired in dark of coat and white cravat (miniature 2 3/8 in.; case 3 in.).
From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C. Good estate condition; some minor wear to cases; gentleman's backing is later.
