The first, approximately one gallon capacity, impressed "W.T. Macon / Cassady" for William Tom Macon (1863-1930 Randolph County, NC), squat globular form with applied handle, (10 in.); the larger a two gallon jug, marked "J. M. Hays" over the capacity mark to the shoulder for James Madison Hayes (1832-1922 Randolph County, NC),featuring a fluted shoulder, applied handles, and incised ring decoration to the base of the neck (14 in.).
