Late 18th-early 19th century, centering a 5-inch porcelain dial signed "Piolaine / A Paris," dual train silk suspension movement with sun god mask pendulum, raised within a Neoclassical architectural portico case in white alabaster and black marble having ormolu mounts, beaded trim and four cast toupie feet.

Private Collection, Durham, North Carolina Dial with losses to porcelain and areas of later paint; movement loosely mounted within the case, lacking without countwheel and bell chime; moving dial hands does activate the movement; some small chips to stone; some cracks and areas of repair to ormolu mounts.
