Circa 1925, Rhonda, North Carolina, wheel thrown stoneware, semi ovoid form with high handle, opposite the handle to the shoulder is the impressed capacity "5" and stamp "McGBISHOP / RONDA".

Bishop worked in several shops as a journeyman potter and operated his own shop in Rhonda, North Carolina and later work at O'Henry pottery in Valdese. McGruder Bishop's works can be viewed at various public and private collections, including the Mint Museum, North Carolina.
Some surface staining; hairlines to handle; a few minute flakes to spout rim.
