Late 19th-early 20th century, hand-painted porcelain with central figural scene, gilt metal mounts, two side handles, and raised on four feet; the first an oval dish, signed "MALET," the underside with unidentified blue mark, marked "France," and with impressed numbers, and mounts additionally marked "MADE IN FRANCE." (13 in. long); the second a round dish, and with green Sèvres mark "S.72." with strike through mark (indicating a second) to underside (10 in. dia.).
The first with light wear to paint, faint scratches to the well, grime, rubbing to gilt mounts, and scattered adhesive residue; the second with scattered verdigris and grime, plate with spotting and rubbing to gilt decoration, and slightly loose in mount.
