Mark Hewitt (English / NC, b.1955), An Impressive Lidded Floor Jar

Ovoid form with two applied strap handles, ash glaze with attractive controlled glass runs on lid and body descending from impressed geometric shapes, a tactile surface of raised lines, and a decorative textural band at the neck, surmounted by a domed lid with knob finial; stamped to rim.
