19th century, likely Delft or French, tin-glazed earthenware with cobalt decoration, unidentified "MD" underglaze monogram to the underside, elliptical form with double handles, brass mounted terrace fitted with lidded inkwell, pen pots and sandcaster well.
2 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 3 in.
A few glaze flakes, rubbing to the feet from use, mounts possibly later.
