Circa 1940s, the taller with flared neck and dual loop handles, attractive brown and copper green streaky glaze (12 1/2 in.); the second with cylindrical neck and bulbous body, decorated in a mottled king's blue glaze with shorter dual loop handles (8 1/2 in.).
From the Estate of the late Dr. Everette James, Jr., Chapel Hill, North Carolina The taller's glaze characteristics are the result of "rutile in glaze" as illustrated on pages 157-158 of A. Everette James' definitive text "North Carolina Art Pottery, 1900-1960 Identification & Value Guide."
Taller with small chip to upper rim; shorter with small glaze flakes to upper rim and a chip to the base rim.
