Two North Carolina Pottery Vases, including A.V. Smith (Sanford, NC)

20th century, glazed earthenware, including a large vase with flared ring neck and grooved dual loop handles, having a dark brown with spotted copper green glaze, unsigned, possible Cole family (17 1/2 in.); the second in bulbous form with five loop handles, in light blue glaze with dark cobalt runs, signed and dated "AV / Smith / 97" to the underside.
