J.B. Cole and Sunset Mountain, Two Pottery Items, One Published

Circa 1930s, the first a pie dish with ruffled rim and teal glaze, attributed to J.B. Cole (Steeds, NC), unsigned (10 5/8 in. diameter); the second a stepped "accordion" low vase with ringed shoulder an two applied loop handles, stamped "Sunset / Mountain / Pottery" to underside (8 1/2 in. diameter).
