Circa 1790s, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, depicting a bust length couple in a garden, the blued eye gent with hair in queue and brown overcoat posed with arms around a lady with full hairstyle of the period, white dress and blue waist sash, presented behind glass within an ormolu bezel.

Good estate condition; a few sawtooth flanges on the posterior with loss, and later backing.
