Constantin Kluge was a Russian-born French painter whose luminous cityscapes and idyllic countryside scenes earned him international acclaim. Trained in architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Kluge brought structural precision to his compositions, most notably his depictions of Parisian life. His early experiences in China and France enriched his artistic perspective, culminating in an oeuvre that conveys the elegance of everyday life in France. Kluge was a member of the Société des Artistes Français and recipient of the Legion of Honour.
