Jack Spencer's photography explores a broad range of subjects from cultural portraits, flowers, and landscapes to the surreal and ordinary. He often glazes and distresses printed surfaces with oils, stains, and chemicals, and borrows techniques in the darkroom from previous centuries to create unique works that challenge the boundaries of innovation in the photographic arts.
