West Troy, NY Pottery, Two Cobalt Decorated Stoneware Jugs

Circa 1875, both of single handled cylindrical form with ring-tooled spout, the first a two gallon form decorated with a large cobalt slip-trailed design of bird beneath the company stamp and capacity mark "WEST TROY, / NY / POTTERY. / 2"; the second approximately one gallon capacity, stamped ""WEST TROY, POTTERY." above a spiraling cobalt slip trailed design.

Larger with chipping to spout upper rim; some scattered shallow fritting mainly along the lower half of the body; the smaller with a couple very minor small chips to spout rim; a firing blemish to the lower body.
