From a Private North Carolina Collection From the front jacket flap: "Written by one who himself has suffered from social and economic discrimination, this is a penetrating analysis of the powerful emotions of love, fear, and hatred—and their effect on both privileged and underprivileged. Here is a book of urgent and vital meaning, a book to be read, discussed, and heeded."
Wear to board extremities, heaviest at spine ends, and minor scuffing to gilt lettering; pages extremely clean except for a few minor scattered spots of grime and heavier areas of grime on the last page of the preface and the t.o.c; scarce jacket present but with toning, color transfer to inner fold, tears, light grime, and losses including a large portion of the jacket front. About very good in a fair to good jacket.
