Circa 1900, two part form, upper bookcase with stylize dentil molded cornice and fretwork frieze above two hinged doors with inlaid mullions, shelved interior with mirrored back, set on a slant front desk with geometric banded inlay and central inlaid conch shell opening to reveal a well developed interior with small drawers, pigeon holes, and central inlaid prospect door with further interior small drawer and hidden document release compartments, the case with two drawers over a lower shelf with banded inlays, straight tapered legs with checkerboard inlaid edge and quarter fan returns, raised cuff, with key.
