Lot Details & Additional Photographs
1980s, painted wood wall-hanging depicting a Native American figure in a headdress, a cat-like figure, and a figure with fruit-shaped head gathered around an owl perched on decorative pedestal with fruit growing on stem to left, hooks on verso for wall display, unsigned.

14 1/2 x 30 3/4 x 2 in.

Jennings' work is known for its colorful and sometimes complex, painted dots as well as astral forms. When inspiration failed, Jennings resorted to a favorite trick of pressing his fingers against closed eyes. Calling himself the “sun, moon and star artist,” he frequently incorporated these symbols within his work as well as included them with his signature.

Good condition; some loose appendages to outer figures, small chip to rectangular piece above cat-like figure.
